National Eating Disorders Association Announces 2020 NEDA Network Leadership
NEW YORK CITY — February 21, 2020 — The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), is pleased to announce the 2020 Executive Committee Leadership team for the 2020 NEDA Network. Simone Seitz, of Carolina Resource Center for Eating Disorders in Asheville, North Carolina, will serve as Chair. Debra Hopkins of Breaking the Chains Foundation (BTCF) in North Hills, California and Marci Soran of the Eating Disorders Information Network (EDIN) in Atlanta, Georgia will serve as Vice Chairs.
The NEDA Network is a partnership between NEDA and other mission-aligned organizations dedicated to advancing the field of eating disorders and building a community of support and hope. With nearly 20 member organizations, the NEDA Network provides a unified voice in the fight against eating disorders. “We are proud to stand with NEDA Network members to collectively work towards creating a world without eating disorders,” said NEDA CEO Claire Mysko. “Banding together will help all of us better advocate for much needed research, funding and education around this deadly illness.” “
Partnering with a nationally-focused resource like NEDA provides a broader platform for community programs as we each work to increase awareness, connection, and support for disordered eating and recovery from eating disorders at the local level,” commented Seitz. “It’s a collaboration that is a great resource for me as I work within my organization to serve those in need.
